Business Process Reengineering (BPR) means dramatic change, redesign, and improvement of a business process at an organization either production or service process. BPR can impact every aspect of how we conduct business today.

 

Successful BPR can result in enormous reductions in cost and time. It can also create substantial improvements in quality, customer service, or other business objectives. Reengineering can help an organization stay on top or transform into an effective competitor.

 

Generally, BPR involves discovering how business processes currently operate, how to redesign these processes to eliminate waste and redundant efforts, improve efficiency, and how to implement the process changes in order to gain competitiveness.
